Modular Torsion Box Table Beds for Select CNC Machine Kits and General Use
These torsion box tables can be used with the greenBull CNC Machine Kits as well
for general purpose use. The torsion box table is a very stiff and flat table that
contains MDO sheets on top and bottom, and a tight grid of lengthway and transversal
ribs within. The torsion box table is modular in design so any length can be achieved
as long as a good subframe is constructed.
Below are two major types, the 5X and the 6X tables. These numbers relate to the
maximum amount of CNC travel along the width of the table. Since the table is modular,
the "X" expresses the expandable nature of the table.
Configurations and Assemblies
6X width - 80.078" (6.67' or 203.398 cm) - For use with greenBull 6X
CNC Machine, or for general use.
5X width - 67.3587" (5.61' or 171.091 cm) - For use with greenBull 5X
CNC Machine, or for general use.
Length - 120"
(10' or 304.8 cm)

(12.4' or 377.984 cm)

Important: If the tables are used with the greenBull CNC Machine, subtract 20" from
the table length to find the actual travel length.
A La Carte - If Other Lengths are Desired
Use this option if your desired length does not match the above lengths. How to purchase:
You will need one initial module that provides the two ends and the initial
lengthway and transversal ribs for these ends. You will then need to purhcase the
number of epansion modules to achieve the desired length. You can opt to
purchase the torsion box assemblies that specify the final dimensions. Subtract
20" from total length to determine actual travel. Travel in the transverse (along
the width) direction is from edge to edge.
Initial module: One is required for each table. This assembly is used to
mount the chain ends (overlap designed at t520he ends). This is also a great option
as a standalone table top/workbench if stiffness is needed.

- Actual rib count and lengths will depend on final options purchased according to
the staggaring combinations.
Expansion module: These components are used to create the final table length.
Each module will add 28.8125" to the table length. For example, one initial module
(33.5626" length) and one expansion module would be 62.3751 (5.198 feet or 158.433
cm). Adding an additional expansion module would yeild a length of 91.1876" (7.599
feet or 231.617 cm).
