Using pin 13 should be fine as long as it is enabled in Mach3 for the Estop. Go to Mach3, Config> Ports and Pins> Input Signals and make sure EStop is enabled and pin number is set to 13.

I am wiring my estop to the redleaf NC closed using pin 13 and ground to red side of the button is that all that needs to be done

For safety's sake I would recommend a new board because they are inexpensive compared to the electronics that they support. Alternatively, it's possible that the one dead pin is a simple fix, such as a bad connection or solder joint; if you feel comfortable making those repairs then it could be worthwhile to check. Finally, if you are not using all the input pins, you could continue to operate the limit switch on pin 11 and hope for the best.

I have a breakout board and it appears that the pin 12 connection has failed: when i move my limit switches to pin 11 they work; they don't work on pin 12. Do i need a new breakout board?

You can actually set a current limit in in the VFD using the programming process and the specifications in the manual that came with your VFD. You can expect the spindle at 220 Volts AC to draw (using the standard formula):

For Volts, I will use 230 as the range is generally 220 to 240.

Watts = Current * Volts

Can also be written as:

Current = Watts / Volts

Current = 2.2kW (2200 watts) / 230 volts

Current = 9.6 amps

I have the 2.2 kW spindle and VFD for 110v, just wondering what amperage this draws, as my electricain buddy is telling me I need to put in a 20 amp breaker for this. I cant seem to find any amerpage draw on the INPUT label

The eyebolts are used in the squaring of the machine. I would use a standard carpenters square and first run the end mill along the edge of the square to first make it parallel with the long axis. Then run the end mill along the other edge with the short axis and adjust the eye bolts and chain according to the angle that the machine is out of square.

WHAT TERMINALS ARE USED TO CONNECT THE INVERTER WALL OUTLET?

I would recommend using the blackToe CNC machine kit. The overall travel dimensions are 24" x 48" x 6". This will provide a bit of space on the sides as wiggle room if your guitar bodies are at the extremes of the 12". Also, if you are manufacturing may of these, the larger routing area, the more guitar bodies you will be able to cut at one time.

Yes, you can use 12VDC for the MAch3 USB controller at the 24V and DCM terminals. I have not tested using 12VDC in conjunction with the ACM and AVI terminals (PWM output) to control the spindle speed. PWM typically requires a reference voltage (from the VFD) and it's own voltage to produce the PWM signal. I am not sure if 12VDC is sufficient for the PWM. I have tested the inputs with 12VDC and they work fine.

The 12VDC applied to the input voltage terminals most likely damaged the microcontroller, the LCD, and the vacuum sensor. It can be repaired, but the repair will cost more than a new vacuum pressure controller.

If the pins from the terminal block on the side of the board are outputs, or at least 2 of them are outputs, then you can connect our modular driver to the board (example: cw230). If they are all inputs, then you would not be able to connect an external driver.

HAVE PORTER CABLE 7518 ROUTER ON MY CNC AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOUR ER20 COLLET NUT, FOR THE CABLE, WILL FIT ROUTER.

When you power up your VFD, you can go into the programming mode by pressing the program button. You can press the up and down arrows to move through the parameters. Press the set button to go into the parameter to see the value of that parameter. If you want to make changes to that parameter, change the value with the up and down arrows until the desired value is shown, and press the set button to accept the changes.

The parallel breakout board uses pins 10 to 13 relating specifically to the pin numbers on the parallel port. It is in fact 13 and not i3.

The mach3 USB board does use the I1-I4 using the I to represent the word "input"; hence I3 (i3).

Depth of Field. This is how far the focal point goes before re-expanding again. With a 2" lens, you have approximately 2-3mm of DOF. This means that you'll have 2-3mm of perfectly focused laser before it starts to re-expand again. If you have a 4" lens, you will have up to 7mm of DOF.
