Hi, I am thinking of making a CNC router that I can use in woodworking. I am very happy if you can help me with the necessary parts for this

Our blackToe will work with R/C models, and can cut plywood, acrylic, foam, light sheets of aluminum. The gantry mass is not too dependent where you will see a significant accuracy loss that will not work with cutting small notches or small detailed parts, but depending on your CAD/CAM software and how accurate you specify the design it would be best if you create it in sections where you can change the endmill to a finer detailed bit when needed.
Also dealing with our CNC machines the accuracy is in the thousandths of an inch (0.001).
Dealing with small notches, you will most likely be better off using a small endmill/cutter, for very fine detailing (ex. a 1/8" endmill or a 1/32" endmill).

I'm interested in one of your BlackToe kits. Will it cut plywood R/C airplane wing ribs accurately, including the small notches for spars and sheeting? I've heard gantry mass is too high, and causes the small notches to not be cut accurately.

Yes, a 5v relay board can be connected to a spindle. Relays generally have terminals labeled S, O and P and you will want to pass one of your main wires "through" the P and S terminals or the P and O terminals depending if you want normally closed or normally open function.

I have the USB board. I was thinking of wiring a 5v relay board to the breakout board labeled (spindle) using the GND and (arrow) which i think is 5vdc. I will need this relay board to operate my router. Thanks

Yes, those terminals are to control the relay (engage the relay). On the switch part of the relay, the router main poser wire (say, the live, black, wire) would pass through this switch portion of the relay.

If you are using a router that will not fit into the router mount, it is best to have the mount requested from us. The mounts were designed with the appropriate thickness of material for structural purposes and to maintain this structure under load.

I need to know if you have prices for educators, or other ways that a teacher could procure a blackToe 2'x4' CNC router. I apologize that this is sort of a bold question, as your routers are already well-priced.

Yes, that is highly recommended for all the reasons you can imagine. Say you were doing engraving, not surfacing the spoilboard will either exhibit some areas that have no engraving at all, or areas that have engraving that is too deep. If you are cutting completely through the material, then one end may be cut all the way through but the other end will not have a complete cut, or produce onion skinning on the bottom of the workpiece.

Yes, if you are using 1/2" standard allthread lead screw coupled to your stepping motors, you can increase the speed by changing the lead screw to 10 TPI 5 Start Lead Screws with antibacklash nuts. This will allow you to have up to 200-300 IPM (inches per minute) travel and cutting speeds.

The reason why the feedrate and jogging speed is faster is because the lead screw will travel a farther distance for each turn of the motor. A standard allthread will only travel one inch after 13 turns of the motor. The above (link below) 5 start 1/2" lead screws will travel one inch with only 2 turns of the motor! That is a drastic difference and you will get more torque from your motor since most of the torque is present at low speeds.

I built a 2' x 4' cnc about 2 years ago and bought all the plans and part through this website. My average 2D design takes approximately 35-40 minutes to complete. Is there a way to make my cnc faster?

if you purchased the USB interface, you will need planet-cnc software rather than Mach3, and you will need a usb cable to connect the usb interface to the computer.
